Up for sale here is this complete recap kit for the Crown IC-150A preamplifier. This is for the IC-150A, not the IC-150, though I do have a kit for the IC-150 here. This includes replacements for all electrolytic capacitors on the IC-150A.

This kit includes the following:

16 capacitors (Nichicon PW, Nichicon KL, Nichicon Muse, Panasonic FC)

These are extremely high-quality parts, the same ones I use when I rebuild vintage gear. Most capacitors are the same uf rating as the old ones, but the two 25 uf non-polar capacitors are replaced with non-polar Nichicon Muse 22 uf 25v, and the old 250 uf caps are upgraded to 330 uf 63v capacitors.

This kit includes replacements for the electrolytic capacitors on the IC-150A, but there are other things that can go wrong with the IC-150A’s transistors and relay, so this kit may not solve your issues, though it will certainly help your preamp work better.

I will include surprisingly well-written instructions, but this is moderately complicated. You should know what you’re doing and have a decent soldering iron. Please see my pictures for details.
