Hand-carved in basswood and finished in acrylics. On a round, finished base 11 inches wide x 15 inches tall.

Narrative: I was on horseback in the Rincon Mountains of Saguaro National Park, leading a pack mule up a narrow trail when I made a mistake and my horse made me pay the price. My departure from the saddle was not as controlled as the carving, and my landing was horrible. The worst part of the ordeal was getting back on the horse! That is the story about a Bucked-off Ranger!
