Mid century to vintage Mexican folk painting on a reclaimed 19th century wood carved hand painted door panel.

There is no signature to be found. However, there are several reasons to believe this might be an original painting by Ramos Filemon. Ramos Filemon often painted several of the same objects that appear in this still life. Example: Grapes, jugs and watermelon yet this painting is not identical to any other I have seen suggesting the possibility of an unsigned original. Ramos Filemon was known to paint on this beautiful hand painted antique wood door panels. As shown there is significant age present in both the painting and panel which would suggest possibly an earlier piece of the artist and or in the style of. The style and characteristics of this painting are a great representation of his work if not more original. Since this painting is not signed it is being sold attributed to and or in the style of Mexican artist Ramos Filemon.
Dates: Painting is not dated so exact age is unknown. Painting looks to be mid 20th century while the wood panel is from the 19th century.

Condition: Read carefully! The antique wood panel has lots of damage from age and use. There are several cracks, splits, breaks, chips, missing pieces, loss, worm hole, bug bite, paint loss, stains, loose pieces, dings, scuffs, scratches and wear. Some areas need reinforcement. Lots of damage but still beautiful!! Ramos Filemon often used reclaimed antique wood panels. Painting shows fade, discoloration, paint chips, paint loss, large stains, spots, scratches and wear. The primitive hand painted wood panel with this wonderful Mexican still life painting over it, is just beautiful and hangs exceptionally well. Please take note of the images provided that due to breaks, cracks, chips and damage, sides are no longer even. This painting is perfectly imperfect which gives it that history and rustic look.
